Each artwork is designed and hand-cut by Yoshie using gilded brass leaf paper (洋金箔紙), individually hand-pressed by artisans in Hiroshima, Japan.
Originally created for a 2022 London gallery exhibition, the composition features a camellia (椿, tsubaki), symbolising love, admiration, and purity. Each viewing evokes calm and tranquillity, a quiet celebration of nature in bloom.
