Art, Illustration, Design Commissions & Licensing
What kind of commissioned work do you specialise in?
I have over 20 years of experience in commissioned art, illustration, and design across publishing, advertising, interiors, and commercial spaces.
My commissioned work includes:
Author and illustrator of five published picture books (Japanese publishers)
Book illustrations for novels, themed books, magazines, and picture books
2D and 3D mixed-media artworks for advertising and seasonal department store campaigns
Illustration and artwork for lifestyle and product packaging
Pattern design for wallpapers, textiles, and interior applications
How does the commission process work?
Each project begins with an initial discussion to agree on the concept, production schedule, fees, and licensing or royalty terms.
Depending on the brief, I create:
Digitally finalised artwork (Photoshop), using professionally photographed mixed-media pieces or hand-drawn and scanned motifs
Artwork prepared for large-scale applications, such as hospital or department store murals
Physical 2D or 3D mixed-media artworks, including fabric-based sculptural pieces for commercial displays and campaigns
Final artwork files are supplied ready for printing or production, and can be delivered to clients worldwide.
Collaborative work — Sas and Yosh
Alongside my individual practice, I also work as part of Sas and Yosh, a UK-based creative duo co-founded with British artist Sarah Bellisario.
Our collaborative work focuses on:
Digitally finalised illustrations and pattern design
Hospital and public-space murals
Wallpaper and textile designs
Book illustrations and product artwork
For mural commissions, we either supply final files to the client’s print and installation team, or manage printing through our UK-based production partners.
