LOVE is a Japanese gold-paper cut artwork showcasing the artist’s playful use of geometric shapes and the contrast between gold and black.
This artwork, two cupids reminding themselves to kiss while busy working for others’ love lives, was born from Yoshie’s own experiences and from observing how busy everyday life leaves people with less time for those they love most.
Each artwork is designed and hand-cut by Yoshie using gilded brass leaf paper (洋金箔紙), individually hand-pressed by artisans in Hiroshima, Japan.
